Our Speech-Improvement Teachers
- Provide mandated services for students based on their IEP.
- Provide individual and group therapy for various grade level students with special needs in various classroom ratios (e.g. 6:1:1, 8:1:1, 12:1:1, inclusion)
- Implement speech and language treatment and training for alternative and augmentative devices utilized throughout the school environment
- Provide support to classroom teachers, and parent/guardians of students with special needs related to speech and language concerns
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, school psychologist, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and school counselors to provide a whole team approach to meet student goals
- Perform administrative tasks, including documentation for IEP’s, semester evaluations, and SESIS, etc.
- Actively involved in all school-wide and site-wide activities and events to better support students and their communication needs
