This is a competitive program. Athletes are required to know how to swim prior to joining the team.
We are offering volleyball skills program for students looking to learn the basics of this sport. This program is entirely during the school day. Students will compete in basic volleyball skills such as serving and passing.
Along with their coach, students select from 2-3 running , throwing, jumping, or power-walking events to compete in, based on their individual strengths.
Developmental Sports is a non-competitive, sport-specific training program for elementary students to learn the fundamentals of each sport, while working on basic skills such as turn-taking, sharing, and following directions. Students practice their PhysEd period, and are invited to select showcases throughout the spring season.
Motor Activity Training Program also know as "MATP" is a specially designed athletic program for students with more profound physical disabilities. All events are wheelchair accessible.
This program is geared towards our students who are not yet ready to play in a game. In this program, students are scored for time and accuracy on different skills. There is a starting level and an advanced level students can progress to once they build their skills.
Students compete in the D75 Special Olympics against teams from other D75 schools. Practices and games are held during the school day. There are occasional weekend tournaments
Select students partner with general-ed students from Business Technology students to play on team comprised of students with and without disabilities. This league plays on Saturday mornings.
